Grilling season is here! In the United States, grilling season is considered to begin late spring to early summer, with Memorial Day weekend being the first big “grill out” holiday. So there is no time better than now to get ready for grilling season.

For starters, you should check your grilling area to make sure it’s in ready to be your cooking workhorse! So what is the best way to do that? Start with a safety check. Look around the area where you plan to do your grilling this summer. Make sure the area has good ventilation, and that there is a steady place to place your grill, so that it will not tip over during use. You should also check the area for debris.

Next, make sure your grill is clean and ready-to-use. All of the hoses, connections and burners need to be clean, too, in addition to both the interior and exterior of your grill. Any parts that are not able to be cleaned may need to be replaced before use. You also want to check your fuel. Do you have enough propane? You should also check your burners to ensure you have even heat throughout the grill.

If you run out of propane this summer, or have any questions about your propane grill, please don’t hesitate to give us at Como Oil & Propane a call.  We have been serving South Florida for over 70 years and would love to help you too!
